Chef Jose, Cafe Con Leche.
With many siblings, Jose had to often times help his mom in the kitchen to feed the rest of the family. At the age of 13, Jose moved to the U.S. and became a dishwasher when he was old enough to work. He asked the cooks every question he could think of, and watched them with intent to learn.
Chef Jose eventually moved away from the dish pit and started to cook. He started at a cafe and cooked breakfast and lunch. Looking for a new experience, he accepted a job specializing in creative Mexican fine dining. Working at Mas, Janik’s Cafe, and under Chef David Rodriguez at May Del Sol, Chef Jose was given the opportunity to grow in a creative environment. He is now our Executive Chef at Cafe Con Leche.
