Café Con Leche opened its doors in 2001 on Milwaukee Avenue in the heart of Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. It’s become a popular restaurant for dinner, lunch, and breakfast in Logan Square.
Since then, Café Con Leche has been serving both Mexican breakfast favorites and Latin dinner classics, paired with delectable desserts and coffees. From fresh salsas with a perfect balance of spices, to delicious slow-roasted pork and savory meats, there’s something delectable for everyone.
I can see why it’s so popular! I came here for breakfast and had the best time. It was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was soooo good. I got Bistek Encebollado and my partner got Chilaquiles Verdes… with steak added to it. We both got freshly squeezed orange juice that paired perfectly with the meal. The prices were fair and everything was filling. We had to take a break before heading out because we were that full! It’s right by a train stop so it’s a really easy commute. If you’re ever in the area, you HAVE to stop by. It’s one of the best restaurants I’ve tried while being in the area and I’d definitely return. Read more “”
Must checkout! It’s always busy & you MUST have the Cafe con Leche! The best! I’ve been here two times and only because the other times I try to get a table the way it was pretty long! The food… always taste fresh and always served hot. The Service is friendly and always quick! The music is also phenomenal! I am definitely dancing in my seat before, during, and after my meal! Personally, I prefer all of the breakfast items but all the lunch meals and other tables always look phenomenal! Read more “”
Great Latin food, large selection, priced well and large portions! Super fast service!
Free parking in the back. They have a back patio!
This is a favorite spot in my neighborhood, with fast and friendly service, and delicious food.
Most recently my friend and I went here for brunch on a weekday. It’s exciting to see a local business so busy and… energetic even on off hours!
The place was busy but we were seated pretty quickly and both had egg based breakfasts (she had an omelet and I had one of the rice and beans and eggs options). The food was great, as was the iced coffee. Read more “”
This spot is great- we ordered several times during the pandemic and the food was always as good as any takeout can be, but we recently dined in and were wowed by the service and the food! The host, server… and bus boys were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was fresh came super fast. I highly recommend! Read more “”
Got takeout and the food was Great. Good size portions especially the burrito. Came fairly fast as well
Went here this weekend with my boyfriend. I got the chilaquiles verdes, which came with rice and beans, and my boyfriend got the chorizo and avocado omelet which came with potatoes. We got empanadas as the starter and they were… so good! The chicken tingga ones were our favorite! Horchata and the cafe con leche from here were really good too! Friendly staff and cool area! Would come again! Read more “”
Amazing food, drinks and service. The food came out fast and was fresh, generously portioned and piping hot. I got the huevos con bistec and would highly recommend. The cafe con leche was also perfection and the freshly squeezed orange… juice was both refreshing and delicious. I will definitely be back again. Read more “”
Excellent Chilaquiles Verdes with a side of avocado and cappuccino. I enjoyed this while sitting on the sidewalk, watching the world go by.
This spot was cute and cozy!! The staff was amazing and we got our food right away for breakfast on a Monday ! Make sure you get the cafe con Leche it’s such a yummy drink, not too sweet not… too bitter. It’s just right Read more “”
One would think it’s a small restaurant but there are more tables and seats in the back. They were pretty busy when we came but since we had a reservation, we were sat down quickly. The menu we received did… not have horchata in it but luckily, they have it! It was so refreshing and delicious! I have not had horchata in ages and this beverage definitely filled that void. It was not overly sweet, and just a perfect touch of cinnamon. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and dishes. The ceviche and empanadas were delicious. We had some plantains but I did not find them memorable. We also got chimichurri steak and steak jibaritos. Everything we got was tasteful and cooked on point. We also ordered caramel flan which was a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. One thing I regret is living too far from this place! They also have a parking lot in the back for customers!
